Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879-1950), was a Hindu spiritual master. Although his primary teaching was associated with Non-dualism, Advaita Vedanta, and Jnana yoga, he recommended Bhakti, and approved a variety of paths and practices. He was probably the most famous Indian sage of the twentieth century. He was renowned for his saintly life, for the fullness of his self-realization, and for the feelings of deep peace that visitors experienced in his presence. |
